REFLECTION ON FUTURE LEARN
Throughout this semester for ICT in Education
course and especially in Future Learn, I was able to learn and experience a lot of new things. All this was
possible just because of your dedicated and sophisticated style of teaching.
You have given me the opportunities to explore myself and learn all the things
in a way of hands on activities. Perfection and precise in your way of teaching
also have made me more disciplined and dedicated towards the assignments. You
also given me chances to correct the mistakes that I have done in my assignments,
so it shows that you are concern on the achievement of your students. As a
conclusion, I have learned many good values from you not only as an educator
but also as a human being. All the activities that were given in this
coursework was very useful and practical for me as an educator. Apart from this, it also showed me the
easy way of reading a book without worrying about the number of pages.
Moreover, the Log Book activities based on a Future Learn also have been a
new and useful activity for me. I have found that this outlining system is very
important in preparing myself to know more about future learn. So, I think this
outline activity will help me while I have to prepare myself in blended learning. I have learned the way to
have my own website and on the same time it is totally free of charge. This website
also not going to be beneficial for me only, but it will be learning and
sharing platform for all the English teachers in my school. We have decided to
create the same kind of websites for each and every panel in my school. So, as
a conclusion I would say that all these activities have made me more
knowledgeable and proactive person. I always find a way to integrate ICT in my
teaching and learning processes because based on my experience ICT has been a
big aid in delivering the information or source of knowledge towards the
student more interactively. However, I will be very sure the need of ICT
integration in a teaching or learning activity. I like to use ICT integration
in order to attain students interest towards the content of learning. My way of
ICT integration not always will be teacher centered method but it will be more
to students centered method. The activities that I create using the ICT
normally will be focused to hands on activity and will enable the students to
explore by themselves. As a conclusion, I would say that ICT integration can
make teaching and learning process effective if it was planned systematically. I always attracted to the ICT tools. So, as
the time goes on I have learned about and explored much ICT equipment. However,
the knowledge of ICT in teaching and learning was still low until I have
entered the profession of teaching in my life. After became a teacher I have
attended many kinds of ICT related courses to enhanced my knowledge towards it.
Apart from that, I also like to share and gathered information regarding to ICT
integration in teaching and learning among other teachers. This enables me to upgrade
my knowledge of ICT in teaching and learning. I also will keep on upgrading
myself by exploring more and more about the ICT in order to be a effective and
interactive educator. Ican learn many skills in future learning. My skills in using ICT in teaching and
learning are improving from time to time. This is because I always like to
revise the effectiveness of my ICT integration in a lesson. I also always like
to ask and get to know my pupils feedback on the ICT integration in certain
lessons. So, this allows me to identify the pros and cons in my ICT integration
in teaching and learning and on the same time it creates a space of
improvisation for me to correct my mistakes. Apart from this, I also like to
share and learn the new knowledge of ICT through my collogues in order to
improve my skills. I also like to attend courses regarding ICT integration because
it can help me to improve my skills in that specific area. As a conclusion, I
would say that my skills in ICT integration is quite good however there will be
always a space to improvise and upgrade it because the changes in ICT world is
unstoppable. Changes and transformations are two elements
that never will end. It will be always subjective and different based on perspective
of each and every person. So, whatever we want to change not always can make
everyone satisfy. So, if I were the lecturer of this course, I would only make
more changes in the creating more conducive learning environment where more new
upgraded level of ICT technological appliances should be facilitate to the
students in order to be in the new trend of gadgets. Apart from that, if there
is a chance, I would like to arrange a field trip to one of the rural area
school to come up with some sessions with future learn to make the pupils
there to realize that they need all these knowledge to sustain their survival
in the future.
